registrar / domain name

All you'll need to know to get your site live!

In order to send your site live we will need information to access your domains registrar control panel and to set up your email accounts. Please review the information below and when you are ready to take your site live, please submit your goLive request via our online support form!

1. Registrar Company Information

Tell us where you bought the domain name you intend to use for your liveBooks site (godaddy.com, networksolutions.com, etc.)

  • Some hosting companies use 3rd party companies to register their domain names.
  • You can find useful information here if you're unsure: http://www.godaddy.com/whois

2. Registrar Account Information

We need access to the Domain Manager to update the Domain Name Server (DNS) settings

  • Provide the Username and Password to access your domain registrar account
  • Verify your login information by logging into the account yourself
  • Provide the web address to the login screen where we can update the Name Servers

3. Email Accounts

Send us any email addresses you currently use or would like setup with your liveBooks site

  • If the email address you're requesting is a live address, be sure to backup any emails you want to keep
  • Provide an alternate email address where we can send you your email setup information

* If your site is currently hosted with another company...

  • Backup any emails and/or FTP files you haven't downloaded to your computer
  • After we change the name servers, you may not have access to those files

* If you would like to keep your email and FTP where it is...

  • The go live process will be delayed because of additional settings
  • Let us know if you would like liveBooks to manage your DNS or your current hosting company
