get started with liveBooks!

Thank you for choosing liveBooks! Following is a description of the liveBooks site building process. We work with you to create an online experience that reflects your personal and professional aesthetic and puts your imagery center stage. Just six steps to take your business to the next level!

the liveBooks Six-Step Process

The 6 simple steps in the liveBooks process:

Step 1

Welcome

Welcome to the liveBooks site building process. You have made the excellent decision to join the elite group of liveBooks photographers, so now the fun of building a site to reflect your aesthetic begins. We start by having you accept our license agreement. Your sales representative will send you a link to do this. You will also receive a Welcome Pack, which contains useful information. Please download this and read it as it will help you have a smooth collaborative process with us!

Step 2

Design Preferences

After carefully reading the Welcome Pack, please start by telling our design team how to customize the look of your liveBooks site by filling out the online Design Preferences form (we'll send you the link after you accept the License Agreement). Login with the same username and password you used for the License Agreement. After submitting the form, you may upload any files that the design team will need, such as images, mock-ups, fonts, or your logo. If included with your package, we will also be scheduling your phone consultation with your designer via the design preferences form.

Once we receive your submission via the form our Production Coordinator will call you to welcome you to the design portion of the process within 1-2 business days. The Production Coordinator will inform you about our current production schedules. The next step will be a phone consultation to further discuss your design preferences (if you have scheduled one).

Step 3

Design Concept

After the phone consultation (if applicable), you will receive a design concept email with a one-page site mock up for you to approve or provide input on. This is to provide you a clear indication of the design concept that we will be using to design all of the other included pages of the site. Once you have approved the design concept, we will move on to Step 4.

Step 4

Site Build

During this step liveBooks will be designing all of the remaining static elements of your site, including all of the pages that you have requested. We will deliver your site to you on a temp address so that you can review all the pages and elements and request any changes. Your temp site will be delivered to you as an empty site ready for your content. You can begin to upload preliminary content at this point if you would like as you will have access to your editSuite. Once you are happy with the site, you will be asked to approve the site.

Upon site approval, we will move on to any custom animation or interactive flash elements of your site that you have requested.

Step 5

Upload Images

Now that your site is built and you have approved the design the only thing left prior to going live is to customize the site with content and make it truly your own. This is the step that really brings your site alive!

Step 6

Go Live!

Congrats! You are ready to go live!

Now that you have prepared your site and are ready to go live, there are a few things to consider before making the final changes. Please visit the go live section to read more about your domain registrar and email settings, as well as how to submit your information to our support team.
