He’s not a national speaker on the photography circuit. He doesn’t have any workshops. There are no highly anticipated DVDs of his training coming out. And he’s only been in the business of professional photography for about two years. Yet, chances are, if you’re a wedding and portrait photographer, you’ve seen his smiling face and his work. His name is Kenny Kim (no, his last name is not “dot com”). And as evidenced by his over 1,700 FaceBook friends, the dude gets around. From assisting Mike Colón and Bob Davis on their 9-city tour, to taking photos for WPPI’s Young Guns presentation, Kenny seems to have a knack at being everywhere that’s worth being anywhere in this business. In this light-hearted and fun interview, we learn how Kenny got so connected. How he went from feared Colón stalker, to Mike (and Bob) giving Kenny the “keys” to their blogs. Kenny is a great testament to the power of having a truly servant heart. We also learn the origin of his ultra-hip logo and when we can expect the next batch of his uber-cool T-shirts to come out. Here’s Kenny Kim like you’ve never seen (or rather, heard) him.
As a side note, I prelude this interview with some exciting F-Stop Beyond updates. Like our new feedback email address (feedback@fstopbeyond.com). Or the new inspiration segment I plan to add where you can leave us a 5 minute or less inspirational story and we may post it online. (Call us at 408-884-1497 x 713 to leave your story). I also give you an update on our video taped series currently in production, “F-Stop Beyond: In Living Color.” All around, this is an episode you don’t want to miss!
